Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better known as Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer hailing from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. Her debut EP Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released in May of 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music on the internet in 2012 as she dropped her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. Ari Lennox continued to upload her music on the internet in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In the year 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album in the track "Sweat It Out" on 21st July. Her music circulated around the Dreamville group as J. Cole wanted her to collaborate with him on some possible references for Rihanna. The official signing ceremony was held to Dreamville Records on 8 December. She made an appearance on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. She dropped Pho, her debut EP, on October 21 in 2016. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performer in support of J. Cole on his track Change in 2017, and was a part of the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. The following year, she went on to guest feature on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The first single, called Whipped Cream, from the album hit stores on September 5, 2018 with a music video. She dropped her follow-up single for Grampa on November 9. On the 13th of November she dropped two singles titled the No One and Pedigree. She performed with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby in November 16, then made the track available as a solo single for her first album. In February of 2019 she released a music video made available for the song. It already has more than three million views on YouTube in its first week. In December of 2018, she was a supporting act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
